As a mother of two small children it might come to no surprise that there is a specific drawer or cabinet with kids cups and plates. The kids start growing and transitioning to a variety of cups and plates can be countless. The biggest challenge for me is having the best sippy cup that does not leak and keeps fluids cool and insulated whether at home or traveling.
We had a chance to try newest line of sippy cups called The First Years One Piece Lid Sippy Cups. The One Piece Lid design is easy to clean and assemble, with just a twist of the lid and – best of all – no extra parts to lose! Plus, the company boasts the cups to be spill-proof, leak-proof, break-proof, dishwasher safe and BPA-free. What is really neat is the fact that all The First Years sippy cups feature lids that are interchangeable across The First Years’ entire sippy cup line (including Disney Baby), making it so much easier to mix and match cups and lids.
Now unfortunately, if a child turns a cup upside down it will eventually leak so it is hard to say that something is virtually leak-proof. The girls really liked the owls design on the cups and even were super excited to try new cups.

I could hardly get them out of the packaging before they were climbing on my legs begging for the cups. The cups are labeled ideal for 18 month old toddlers and up but my toddler is 14 months old and she grasped the sippy cup with a straw very well. The spout is gentle on teething kids and the cups are easy to grip. My only complaint is that the cup is really not leak-proof. If I am traveling with the cup in a bag, the cup tends to leak ever so often from the opening of the lid that releases pressure. It might simply be pressure or the cup being turned upside down. Even so, we still use them and enjoy them.
