As a mother of three, I hardly get time to relax during the week. Usually I have the evenings off but then I pack the evenings catching up on work. The truth is motherhood is definitely not for the weak hearted. I feel blessed to have my family because they are everything I imagined what I would like when I was a single woman. Now that I have this life, it is crazy busy! It is all about trying to keep my home clean, having meals prepared, playing with my kids, spending time with hubby and more!
Does it make you feel anxious yet? It should not but it is a wild ride indeed.
I think it was about 3 weeks ago on a weekend when my husband insisted I take a break from every day duties to go get a haircut and a massage. Um, really? Did he not see the PILE of clean and dirty laundry asking for help? How about our girls clothing and getting summer clothing into bins and into the basement? My husband kept insisting because he knows that my stress levels totally hit a point where I just need a break.
I have to admit that it is just hard to detach myself from my every day. I felt guilty leaving everyone home without me tending to them, but goodness, why not go out and take care of myself JUST BECAUSE? Yes, because my body and even my mind need the time off.
It is not easy to let go and since my body works hard I know places like Massage Envy are readily available to help take care of me through every ache, pain and stress. Massage Envy believes total body care is an integral part of everyone’s wellness journey, and is dedicated to helping their members and guests achieve this. What is total body care? Total Body Care is what my husband sent me off to do, which was to unwind and relax after a rough week.
Massages seem to be a luxury for many but in fact they are super necessary for our bodies because it repairs, relaxes and makes our bodies new again. I know I felt like a NEW person when I finished receiving my massage. I am thankful for having a husband who reminds me to take some time to take care of my body.
